Thinking of Starting a PTC/PTR site? Here are some tips!

Right ok so your thinking of starting your very own paid to click program. You think once everything is setup members will come flooding in with that lucrative referral plan you spent hours designing. You think its a case of sitting back and waiting for the first advertisement sales so you can forward the job to your members and take some free quick earned cash. Hmm most of the time, its not that easy.

Attracting members is pretty easy, but it does require money. Getting some attractive banners is a must! And chucking hordes of bonuses in your members faces for signing up and referring is also important! You need to buy banner impressions and maybe paid emails to about 10 top PTC sites to get a share of their traffic and to attract their members - remember members are trying to make money fast, so joining more than 1 ptc site to maximise earnings is just pure logic. Maybe go into the big get paid to forums and pay members to put your banner in their signature. Offer 10c for every referral your members get, lower the minimum payout. Basically make your program look like the dream program to potential members! Thats in referring and earning!

Ok so your member base is growing.. but o dear! They’re not earning anything because advertisers arent prepared to risk their dollar with you just in case your members are crappy lazy clickers! Well in that case, your going to have to create some ‘opening advertising offers’. You will probably loose money on these, but it will definately be worth it if the advertiser gets good results.
How to find advertisers? Signup to a load of ptr programs and ask for search ads. When you get a search ad to click, go to the site, then try to contact the admin. Send him an email asking to tryout your brand new spanking ptc site with crazy low ad prices he just cant miss out on!

You can do the same process with paid-to-promote ads as search ads. Find the ptp sites, and contact the site or page owner.

Obviously In a few weeks when growth is stabilizing and advertisers are returning you can bump your prices back to market level, in order to start making some profit.

just remember: Its all about attracting the search and ptp advertisers and members who click click click!

A Fantastic UK Clothing Dropshipper

Just thought I’d give a mention to devilwear. They were the first dropshipping company i invested in and everything is pretty kosher there. Their Mens and Sunglasses Range is top notch! They have the designer brands people are searching fora cheap deal on, and still stock up on fashionable, trendy items. Not a fantastic selection of womens clothing though. There are enough products to get you started selling on ebay, or off your website at reasonable profit margins. Superb support as well! I know its really hard to find reliable dropshippers online, so I thought I’d let you know one of my gems!

MySpace & Social Marketing - A Traffic Goldmine

Lately I have been researching into methods of generating traffic from myspace and other social networking sites. Myspace is probably the most visited site under this category which is why i will be focusing on it. This kind of marketing is pretty new but very effective. You can apply the methods on not just myspace, but sites like facebook, youtube and basically anywhere that allows you to make comments or posts. So thats a huge range of sites you have to work on.

Basically it starts by you creating a profile or an account. Make it as natural and genuine as possible, then start adding other accounts to your friends list, and start making comments. Be Interesting and try not to be spammy. The trick is to drive traffic to your profile. On your profile you can have some stuff about you or the “fictional” you, and have a load of interesting stuff about your site. When someone visits your profile they that increases teh chance of visiting your profile. If you add your url on the end of every comment i.e.

yours, Chris

If you don’t want to promote a website, you can simply make money from your profile! Firstly sign up to these networks:
popuptraffic (not unique hits)- pays $1.80 per thousand hits to your profile. Once you develop some nice profiles and have your code on your page, you can expect a good 10000 hits a day to your profile(s). This is pretty much paying you to network

PayPopup (unique hits) -

Then add either code to your profile page. BAM you will earn legitmately $1.80+ (depending if you put different ads on your profile) per 1000 hits. Sorted…

There are many videos to be found on youtube showing how to use different methods which is the best place to research and learn.

Traffic Warning to Webmasters Using Adsense

Never Send the following traffic to your site:

  • Paid to Click. PTCs are sites where you can buy ‘clicks’ and the member gets paid between 0.1C to 2c to click a link. Clicks by the member are 99% blind as the member is more concerned with earning the money rather than the links content. You can buy ’search clicks’ which are clicks where the member is expected to click an advertisement. As you can understand. If the member is just randomly clicking an ad, then the advertiser is literally getting ripped off. Therefore google bans all PTC traffic.
  • Paid to Read. PTR is pretty much exactly like PTC apart from emails get sent to your inbox containing the links rather than you having to click links in your members area.
  • Autosurf (paid or free). Autosurf traffic is probably the most ‘blind’ traffic you can possibly receive or send (apart from 0-iframes but thats another story). Due to the vast quantities of traffic that can be sent to a site, google’s Paid per impression program is exploited. Therefore the advertisers get ripped off again. Your alexa.com ranking can be manipulated this way as well, which would result in your receiving more money for clicks on your PPC/PPI advertisements.

I am writing this to generally most newbie webmasters who want to monetize their websites or blogs and just haven’t had the time to read the T&Cs yet. Or a warning to those who are looking to get rich quick through click abitrage.

I have removed my adsense blocks today because there is some autosurf traffic coming from somewhere and i don’t really fancy getting banned like so many others have.

A Nation Against New £400,000 London Olympics 2012 Logo

When I first saw the new £400,000 logo paid for by tax payers hard earned cash, I was almost sick. The idea was nice (yet not unique) from the designer and marketers - to have vibrant colours to attract people.. but to me it just blatantly looks like an old person trying to design a logo for young people who don’t understand the younger generation! And when that happens, logos get tacky.. To me it looks incredibly tacky for an olympic logo - thousands of people compare it with the grafitti that covers London.
logo_pa203.jpg

The only good it has done is to spark up debate. I actually saw a duplicate drawn on photoshop on youtube in 7 minutes… Nearly every web designer has gone ‘raving looney’ over the crap logo.. not over its price tag.. but the fact that a lot of people could do a better job.. on paint!

However after seeing a few marketing ads, it has potential to grow on me.. But this has been a massive failure with the huge rejection from the mass public.

How to get ‘Adsense Approved’ really quick and easy

I was able to achieve ‘approved’ status on my google adsense account even before I had a domain and hosting. This quick, easy and free method uses a nifty website called blogger.com. They are owned by google so..

Here is how you can do it.

1) Signup to blogger.com then create and setup a blog

2) Either write a blog entry, or find an article at articlecity.com

3) After you have posted an article, you might notice that ’sign up to google adsense’ is literally spammed all over blogger. follow the link and fill in your details. Make sure not to use an email that has connections to google adsense

4) Your google adsense account should be verified within 48 hours!

Now you can use your google adsense ad blocks on any website and earn. Blogger is a great place to start earning money from blogging.

Enjoy!

RegisterFly Now Officially A Scam!

For many years there have been a lot of complaints and rumours about registerfly. But lately the problem has got dramatically worse. Many of the biggest domain registras have written about the ‘registerfly scandal’ in their official blogs and news. Now they would only have the guts to do this if it was true (otherwise they would have they’re butts sued off). I suggest you start transferring out your domains before registerfly becomes extinct! There have been hackings, lawsuits and the inability to pay the bills. This has been biding and biding and now it seems its about to explode
Here are some usefull links:

I registered chrismono.com at registerfly. I am currently transferring it over to my favourite domain registrar godaddy. There are a couple of bad rumours about godaddy but i have never had problems with its domains only the hosting. I guess they’re just rumours. Godaddy are doing a deal for registerfly customers: www.godaddy.com/registerfly where you can save a dollar or two.
