Traffic Warning to Webmasters Using Adsense
Never Send the following traffic to your site:
- Paid to Click. PTCs are sites where you can buy ‘clicks’ and the member gets paid between 0.1C to 2c to click a link. Clicks by the member are 99% blind as the member is more concerned with earning the money rather than the links content. You can buy ’search clicks’ which are clicks where the member is expected to click an advertisement. As you can understand. If the member is just randomly clicking an ad, then the advertiser is literally getting ripped off. Therefore google bans all PTC traffic.
- Paid to Read. PTR is pretty much exactly like PTC apart from emails get sent to your inbox containing the links rather than you having to click links in your members area.
- Autosurf (paid or free). Autosurf traffic is probably the most ‘blind’ traffic you can possibly receive or send (apart from 0-iframes but thats another story). Due to the vast quantities of traffic that can be sent to a site, google’s Paid per impression program is exploited. Therefore the advertisers get ripped off again. Your alexa.com ranking can be manipulated this way as well, which would result in your receiving more money for clicks on your PPC/PPI advertisements.
I am writing this to generally most newbie webmasters who want to monetize their websites or blogs and just haven’t had the time to read the T&Cs yet. Or a warning to those who are looking to get rich quick through click abitrage.
I have removed my adsense blocks today because there is some autosurf traffic coming from somewhere and i don’t really fancy getting banned like so many others have.
